AMUAA has been providing scholarships at School and University levels since 1996. We further plan to expand our activities in helping the poor through our various programs such as lectures, dinners, souvenirs and other projects. We hope you will join us on this wonderful informative lecture / dinner. It is also a fantastic opportunity for networking and reaffirming our dedication to the upliftment of the underprivileged now and for years to come.

AMU ALUMNI OF AUSTRALIA-ANNUAL BBQ SUNDAY APRIL 3, 2011@12 NOON.
AMU ALUMNI OF AUSTRALIA INCORPORATED
Sir Syed Scholarship Project
The AMU Alumni of Australia (Alumni) has been helping poor students to complete their secondary and tertiary studies by providing them with financial scholarships for the past 15 years.
During this period, attitudes toward jobs and education have changed considerably. There is apparently more focus on competitive exams for jobs in the public as well private enterprises. Mere University Education does not guarantee a job anymore, although it does qualify one to sit for these competitive tests. Students, who complete tertiary education, need further training and help to compete for the limited job opportunities.
These and many similar changes need to be addressed in the running of the Scholarship program. There are always other and better ways to do things, ways to improvise the activities of any organization. To be efficient and purposeful, an organization needs to have a clear sense of purpose, a roadmap that sets out a new way of doing things.
With this aim in mind, the AMU Alumni's Scholarship Committee has decided to hold a workshop to get ideas and guidance on how to be more effective in our projects and how to achieve the maximum with the limited time and resources we have at our disposal.
We believe this workshop after a thorough discussion and brain-storming session will provide new ideas and directions for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Scholarship Program.
We coordially invite members of our community to attend the workshop and provide their valuable input, ideas and suggestions that will help make the Scholarship Program more efficient.
The first session will provide details of the Scholarship Program and the progress made so far. The second session will focus on discussing ideas and suggestion for further improvement of the Program.
Hope to hear from community members, to register for this cause and to attend this Workshop to contribute to its improvement.
Venue: Wallace Wurth Building, University of New South Wales, Kensington, N SW.
CALENDER
Date: Sunday 27 February 2011.
Time: 10.45 AM
Lunch: 12.30 (Free Lunch for Participants)
Registration: Plesae contact undersigned.

Fasihuddin Khan
